Next Big Entertainment (NGI) has announced the release of Vienhoop VienHoop, a new Japanese-language drama series written and directed by Yui Mochizuki (Youth) for the Next Big Group of Japan.
The series will be produced by Yuki Tashiro (Shinsekai no Yuusha, Gakkou Bancho).
The series centers around two girls who are friends with each other and are struggling to cope with their different life situations.
Vieno Hoop is the sister of Yui and her younger sister, Vien.
Both are aspiring to be professional models.
Viento Hooping is an artist who works with the artist community in Japan.
They have both lost their mother at an early age and are trying to overcome their challenges together.
The two are also friends with the protagonist, Yui.
The show is being produced by the production company of Next Big Generation, which is led by Yuji Takahashi, and is a collaboration between Next Big, NGI and VGI.
The cast includes: Rie Kugimiya (Ryuunosuke, My Neighbors the Yamadas) as Vien, Kana Ishikawa (Yuri in the House of Miracles, Rangiku Matsushita) as Rie, Yumi Kanno (Yui in the Harem, The Black Cat) as Yui, and Ayumi Mizuno (Vietnamese Girl Murdered) as the main protagonist.
Viali Kukuru (Vampire Academy) as Aneh Vien will also voice the main heroine, Yurika.
The drama is set to premiere on the streaming platform VaiTunes on August 10.
It will be available to watch in Japanese on Nico Nico Douga and the Next BIG group of Japan website.
